Adventureland Soundtrack:Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist

The movie "Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist" is a decent (if not necessarily good) film following the romantic travails of two meant-to-be-would-be lovers in Manhattan over the course of one night looking for an elusive band. It's okay, but a run-of-the-mill rom-com with barely anything beyond the leads to recommend it. What makes the movie worth watching (and what makes this CD worth owning) is the music.

Vampire Weekend are probably the most prominent band on the album, and their track doesn't disappoint. But other great bands and artists of the indie New York scene get in great tracks for the film. I tend to be long-winded in my previous reviews, so I'll just keep it simple:

Get it for all of the songs, but especially "Xavia" by the Submarines, "After Hours" by We Are Scientists, "How to Say Goodbye" by Paul Tiernan, and "Out Loud" by Shout Out Louds.

That's all I got, you'll have to trust me that this CD is worth picking up even if you didn't like or see the movie.
